Unseen Vintage Christian Dior Necklace
This piece is from the archive collection that belonged to Bert Grossé, owner of the former Grossé jewellery factory in Germany, which was purchased by Christian Dior in 2004. From 1955 until its takeover, Grossé was the only manufacturer in the world licensed to make Dior jewellery. It also produced its own line and had a 7-year contract with Burberry. Mr Grossé (the accent was added to help non-Germans pronounce the name correctly) kept hold of his favourite pieces. The collection was unveiled to the British press at a preview at Dior’s original showroom in Conduit Street, London.
